Vanilla Swingers are the British noir synthpop duo consisting of Annie Gilpin and Miles Jackson. Their self-titled debut album is "a concept affair about two people who meet, run away together, go back in time, lose each other, and meet again in 2015." Sounds epic! The disc was mastered by Kramer (Galaxie 500, Low, Dot Allison) and will be released on July 28 via Radio Ballads.

What others have said about Vanilla Swingers:

"To my mind the most exciting band of the year, bar none" -

"This is a frontrunner for my favourite album of 2008. Featuring some of the best lyrics of the year and a tender interplay between male and female voices in a similar vein to Stars, this album deconstructs the myth of human superiority, but rebuilds by using what truly makes humans human." – Condemned to Rock ‘n Roll

"Now might be the time to start dropping their name in front of impressionable friends. Believe me by the end of the summer you’ll be feted for your uncanny ability to spot the next big things." - MP3 Hugger
