Another trippy new video from Portishead, who in my book get Comeback of the Year. "Magic Doors" is the 3rd single and video taken from the album Third, one of my favorite LP's of 2008.

Portishead have not only made the comeback album of the year (so far, anyway), but Third is also one of the very best album's of the first half of 2008. After multiple listens, the songs grow on you in a very subtle, but very powerful way. One of the best tracks on the album now has a video. "The Rip" comes in animated form; a bizarre video for an absolutely gorgeous song.

Portishead are back and in a big way. After previewing the new album Third I can comfortably say that the trip-hop pioneers haven't lost their edge in all these years past, but have actually matured and created a stunning new album.
