Pitchfork reports that Yeah Yeah Yeahs will release It's Blitz! on April 14th! Yes! If the above cover artwork is any indication, this album is going to be kick ass.
Blitz was co-produced by Dave Sitek and Nick Launay, and features guest appearances by Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio. The first single is called "Zero" - we should be getting a taste of it soon.
Brooklyn's Telepathe are prepping the release of their debut full-length, Dance Mother. The album is being recorded with Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio and will feature contributions Kyp Malone (TVOTR) and Shannon Funchess (of !!!). According to a press release, "Access to Sitek's vintage synthesizer collection, combined with deep electronic sub-bass lines influenced by hours of listening to dub-step, gave the duo's homemade music making a new sonic purity and gave them the confidence and the stylistic singularity to transcend genres."
Telepathe have been on the road with Diplo on the Mad Decent Tour, also featuring Boy 8-Bit and Abe Vigoda. Dance Mother isn't out until February 17th, but check out "Chrome's On It" from the recent EP of the same name.
TV on the Radio's latest album Dear Science is in serious contention for album of the year honors, and what better way to celebrate this stellar effort than by presenting the album's second video? "Dancing Choose" is the raucous, horn-laden third track on the spectacular third proper album from the Brooklyn collective.
I absolutely love this album and highly recommend it to anyone reading this. Expect Dear Science to appear on many, if not all year-end lists come December.
"Golden Age" is the first single and video from TV on the Radio's latest album Dear Science, due September 22nd on Interscope. Various tracks from the album are now streaming here. On first listen I'm really digging it. Check out the brand new video via Spinner.
Pitchfork reports that TV on the Radio are prepping the much anticipated release of their fourth full-length album, the follow-up to Return to Cookie Mountain (2006).
Dear Science, will hit stores in North America on September 23rd via Interscope. I'm very curious to see what these avant rockers have been cooking up in the last two years, as "Wolf Like Me" (from Cookie) remains one of the greatest tracks of this decade.

A N. American tour is also on the way...

Power Douglas are a Brooklyn band, though they’d like you to think they are from the mysterious land of Gentrified, NY. What gives it away though, is the fact that their new track “Pangea”, a hauntingly tripped-out jam, is a collaboration with TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and Dragons of Zynth’s Aku.
What we have here is psyched-out, bass-heavy jams, with lots of echo, reverb, distortion, and fuzz. This is what TVOTR would sound like if they were a garage band. Word has it that both TVOTR and Dragons of Zynth have contributed heavily to the forthcoming debut LP Pentecostal Fangbread, which is due sometime this year on FiveSixMedia. If you can’t wait until then, Power Douglas play live at Death By Audio in Brooklyn on April 25th.
