New HOT CHIP Video - 'One Pure Thought'

Hot Chip have released the second video from their newest album Made in the Dark. The video for "One Pure Thought" is a cool animated clip showing the band in performance mode. The graphics are simplistic, but they suit the excellent track very nicely.

HOT CHIP - 'Ready for the Floor'

'Ready for the Floor' is the first single from Hot Chip's forthcoming album "Made in the Dark", due February 5 from DFA/Astralwerks. The video has arrived for the bouncy synth jam, featuring singer Alexis Taylor dancing around as The Joker, as well as many other silly activities involving color. It's total nonsense, but a fun video nonetheless.

As far as the track goes, it really grows on you after a couple listens. The single drops on January 29th.

HOT CHIP "Made In the Dark"

According to NME in the UK, Hot Chip are eyeing a February 2008 release for their third studio album, currently titled "Made In the Dark". Tracks on the new album will include 'Shake a Fist' and 'Ready For the Floor'. NME quotes Alexis Taylor as saying, "It's a lot more like a live band sound, it's a lot rockier. There's even metal influences in some places."
