HOLE - Skinny Little Bitch

It's for real, bitches. Hole (or Courtney Love and new casualties) will release the new album Nobody's Daughter on April 27th. The first single is "Skinny Little Bitch" and you can listen to it now here.

New HOLE Album Due in April

Come Hell or high water, Courtney Love will return to speakers around the world when she delivers the new Hole LP Nobody's Daughter on April 27th via Mercury/IDJ. Sure, there are many who would rather not see this attempted comeback, most notably the original members of Hole (who have nothing to do with this reincarnation of the band). But it has also been nearly 12 years since the last Hole record and 5 since her solo lp America's Sweetheart, not to mention the seemingly never ending sea of drama Miss Love has been swimming in since then. That said, I cannot wait to get my hands on this. Much can be debated about Love and her antics, but one thing is for sure...she's never been accused of being boring.

Love recently debuted the new song "Samantha" on the British show Live On Jonathan Ross. The results are basically you'll either kinda like it or absolutely hate it. I'm just surprised she's standing up.

Dirty Girls of the Legendary Kind

I love rock 'n' roll ladies. And three of my faves are making their long-awaited returns this year.

PJ HARVEY is back with the new album "White Chalk" on September 24.

COURTNEY LOVE has the track 'Dirty Girls' streaming on her website. Some absolutely loath it, but I don't think it's that bad. I think you have to really dig C. Love to get into it.

JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO, lead singer of CONCRETE BLONDE is also back with a new solo album, which ironically features a cover of the COLDPLAY classic 'The Scientist'. You can stream that track, as well as the new song 'Amazing' here.

New Music 2007 - COURTNEY LOVE

"How Dirty Girls Get Clean", the second solo effort from Madame Love, will be released in early 2007. And I for one, cannot fucking wait. All music pretentions aside, am I the only one who has ever listened to Courtney's catalogue into the wee hours of night with a 40 and a pipe, loving every fucking second of her unabashed, wailing soul? And with that I include her 2003 solo debut, "America's Sweetheart". Sure, sometimes she sounds like a maimed mule, worn down by the everlong trips up the side of the Grand Canyon, but she's never fake. Never false. Never unashamed.

Courtney, like Cher, will never go away. So get used to her. She is one of the few cockroaches in pop culture that demands to be seen, heard and spoke of. In a sense, dear Courtney is immortal.

Word is, Love has collaborated with BILLY CORGAN, DIRTY PRETTY THINGS and THE DEAD 60s on the new record.
