R.I.P. COREY HAIM
"This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend." -Corey Feldman
One of my favorite 80's teen actors Corey Haim, star of The Lost Boys, Silver Bullet, License To Drive, Dream A Little Dream, and countless others, died late last night. Here are some movie trailers to remember him by.

KEEPAWAY - Yellow Wings
Keepaway are a new Brooklyn band who are drawing heavy comparisons to Animal Collective. Check out this new video for the self-released track "Yellow Wings".
Review:
TANLINES - Settings ep
83%
Tanlines’ new ep Settings showcases the band’s unique fusion of percussive island music with a modern electronic sensibility. The six-track disc impressively demonstrates the Brooklyn duo’s eccentric pop aesthetic, while keeping the music grounded firmly in its fuck-me pumps on the dance floor.
Opening track “Reinfo” is an insular, instrumental track that perfectly guides you into the realm of the sound at work here.
This is followed by the lead off single “Real Life”, a sensational introduction to the group’s hooky sound, as the vocals croon, “It was a past life thing, it was a past life thing, it wasn’t anything at all…for a minute I was lost, I looked away; I was looking for a home…my destination was unknown”. This is danceable music with an intellectual slant.
Tanlines are part of a percussion-based disco explosion emanating in Brooklyn right now, joining bands like Lemonade, Javelin, and Brahms in the movement. Frequent collaborator Glasser, an equally thrilling new artist, is featured on the closing track “Z”, a contemplative dance gem that finishes the ep on an ethereal high note.
Tanlines are currently playing select dates with The XX and Memory Tapes. Don’t hesitate if you have the chance to catch these guys live!

"Though primarily inspired by long-format, instrumental disco...Kisses has developed a uniquely concise songwriting style that is equal parts FM radio pop and expansive four-to-the-floor."
